Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Well, it is really hard for me to believe, but my baby is two. We had a great birthday party for her on November 8th. Karlie was surrounded by grandparents and family. Great-Grandma Sinclair, Great-Grandma Bennett, Grandma Toni, Grandma Kathy, Grandpa Danny, Grandma Barbara, Ooma, Papa, Grandpa Earl, Aunt Crystal and Mommy and Daddy all shared in the big day. To all of our family members that couldn't make the trip this year, we missed you!

This square cake is the one we ordered from the bakery.

This round cake is the allergen free cake that I made for Karlie. There was some confusion as to why we did two cakes, but I wanted Karlie to be able to eat cake at her birthday, so I made her a safe one. However, being a cake lover, I know that the safe ones don't taste quite as good as the real deal. Because the cakes looked the same, Karlie didn't even notice that hers was different. She had a great time reliving her 1st birthday experience, and mutilating her cake.

Karlie had a blast opening presents this year. She was a present opening machine. She liked to open the toys for sure, but every time she got to clothes she would take them out of the package and say "pants" or "pajamas" or "clothes" and toss them over to the side and move on to the next package. She didn't do it in an unappreciative way, but was just ready to see what was in the next package. Fortunately I think she is too little to actually not appreciate getting clothes. She was just very matter of fact about it. Everyone seemed to get a good laugh out of this.

Karlie got completely spoiled this year. She received toys and clothes galore, from pajamas to a dollhouse to a kids computer and books. Thank you all for the wonderful gifts. Karlie is having a blast playing with all of her new toys while looking adorable in all of her new clothes.

Karlie also received her first tricycle. It is a little tiny one, but she is still a little too short to reach the pedals. Daddy is going to have to put some blocks on them for awhile.

Karlie seemed to get embarrassed and put her head down while everyone was singing the happy birthday song to her. I don't think she new what to do.

Eating cake!

We would like to thank all of our family members that had to travel long distances to be here to celebrate with us. Having you all here made Karlie's second birthday so special to us all.
