Track Meet #2

We headed back out to the Hershey's track meet again this past weekend. The weather was much cooler with a few rain showers, but we decided not to let the spring showers hold us back.

Karlie threw the ball six feet this time. Evident ally that wasn't far enough to place in the top six. It still surprises me how far she can throw a heavy softball.

While waiting in line to do the long jump, Karlie started playing with a little girl who was about the same age. The little girl kept putting her hands in her pockets on her shorts. This is Karlie trying to find her non-existent pockets.

Ready, set.......

JUMP!

We forgot to ask how far she actually jumped, but she got third place again. All of the practicing on the furniture must of helped.

Getting ready for the 50 meter. Look how big those other two year old girls look compared to our little one.

She may not be super-fast, but she sure loves to do this. She is already telling me that she is "going to race again next weekend." She ran much better this time, she didn't pay so much attention to the kids around her and she came in seventh. Karlie also ran the 200 meter. They had the 2 to 4 year old girls run together. And right as they started the race, it started pouring rain. She ran the whole thing in the rain and loved it. She did a great job running this time. Of course the older kids came in first, but she was far from finishing last.

Hanging out with the great-grandmas after the race.

It was still pretty cool out, but Karlie informed me: "Mommy I won the race, can I have a popsicle now?" She wanted blue.

In the rain with her "rainbrella."
