Travel Light?

Well, Scott, Karlie and I had our first big trip out on the road this spring. We worked a little and vacationed a little. It turned out all right. But travelling with Karlie and her food allergies requires us to bring along a lot of extra stuff. Restaurants are difficult when it comes to food allergies, they are pretty uncooperative when it comes to telling you what is in their food. We had to haul around a cooler, and a box of food and dishes. Finding hotels with both a microwave and a refrigerator, that didn't come with the price of a suite proved challenging for us. The hotel situation turned out to be quite expensive, therefore we will probably limit our travel and avoid places where hotels are required.

We have a business trip coming up in June. We are planning to take our RV this time to see how it goes. It will be nice to have a refrigerator full of food that Karlie can eat and a stove to cook on. It will also be nice not to have to pack up and change hotels when we move from place to place. But with the price of diesel, I am not sure that it will be a less expensive travel option.
